Does anyone know what happens once you fill out the form requesting a court bailiff to deliver the divorce petition? Do you get notified it's been served?

Yes you do. Mine kept me up to speed and when it was done they gave me a great wedge of paperwork which you don't seperate
That then goes to court with the appropriate firs to request the decree nisi

Do you have to wait the 8 days for them to respond again?

Not sure. Think if it's been witnessed by a bailiff they been served and so things can just go on from there
I was contacted by the bailiff he just gave me papers which I sent off to court the next day
