Pensions question

I wondered if anyone had gone through divorce and come to an arrangement where their pension was left out of the asset pot?? I have a good pension that I've paid alot into for 21 years. My STBXH decided (despite my desperate pleas) to not pay into a pension for quite a big chunk of of the last 15 years. He has said he won't pursue my pension, I think this may be because he knows he has made some poor financial decisions that have impacted on me negatively over a number of years and as I've supported the family financially for some time. Has anyone had a similar arrangement that actually worked out???

Hi op no pension in my case but I would so so advise you get that from him in writing ASAp then that way your covered.
If it went to a full financial hearing the judge may decide it's an uneven split as sometimes they don't agree all final orders.
So solicitor in writing so your 100% covered
Good luck 💐

Nope. I found at divorce that XDH had stopped paying into his pension without letting me know despite an earlier agreement that he would pay into it for both of us. We ended up splitting our pension pots 50:50 same as the rest of the marital assets.

I'd get it in writing from stbxh that your pension will not be pursued by him, just in case his solicitor tries to convince him otherwise when resolving financial matters. His solicitor is obliged to do the best for his client.
