Any army wives out there?

I'm getting divorced from DH and he is in the army. We have two young kids. He says the army won't provide him with any housing and he will have to stay in the single person accommodation? Is this true? If so I find it pretty outrageous that the army don't make any provision for fathers to have their kids to stay. If you live a long where from where he is posted, how do people do it?

It is true he will have to move back into single living accommodation. Most units have welfare accommodation, which can be used for contact weekends/holiday, but he'll have to speak to his unit welfare team to find out the booking procedures as it's usually on a first come first served basis.

I'm not sure if it's the same for the army, but I know the raf will provide a house if the husband has joint custody. If it was just to stay once on a while the above is true. Not sure if that helps??? It should be the same in all forces though......you'd think. Good luck.
