Ok so my marriage has been shit most of the time but after another disagreement with dh posted on relationships board I am starting divorce proceedings. Lots of hand holding needed please because despite everything I always hoped for a happy ever after and despite everything he's done domestic violence alcohol abuse etc I wanted to get through it but we can't. I need to do this as cheap as possible I have printed off divorce petition from gov website and am aware I could get an occupation order to get him removed from the house as he has been violent before. Does that sound right to get the initial divorce processed obviously we then have the house and kids to sort out which I presume will need solicitors. He says he will move out tomorrow i presume to his mums although I doubt that will happen
