Decree absolute came through yesterday

I opened the post and saw a letter from the court and got excited that it could be the absolute

Skim read it in a rush and put it down as it just looked like an acknowledgment letter that absolute was on its way.

Had dinner and thought that I would just re read the letter a bit more carefully and there it was! My decree absolute!

How is it not in bigger letters?

I was with my parents and new partner when I read it for the second time. It cheered me up after an awfully emotional day but still felt like a massive anti climax.

I have been waiting for this day for so long

I was really disappointed when mine came through. I'd imagined some fancy certificate not a cheap piece of photocopier paper with a rubber stamp in the corner...

That is so unfair.
I will have been through so much more, worked harder, lost more sleep, and gained more debt than when I got my degree.

Yes, I think once you have decided to divorce then it's just the game horrendous process to get through to finally achieve the outcome.
