Ms or Miss

OK, so ideally I'd like to have no title or to have done that PhD

But since some places insist on a title, what's better? Ms or Miss?

Or do people stick with Mrs [maiden name]

Private life I still use Mrs married name. Work I've always used Miss maiden name. Never really took to Ms myself. It's absolutely up to you whichever combination you use. They're all your names. And yes, I agree about titles. Would rather have none, had to ask bank to remove mine from cards and cheque books.

Why label yourself - men get to be mr regardless of marital status - I've been ms for many years for the same reason

I just stayed as Mrs Married name, have just remarried and am not changing this time.

I go by Ms Bitch, because I prefer not to be labelled by my marital status. Men aren't. Why are we?

I've always used maiden name at work - no title, or they default to Dr (which I am not but most people are).

old I would rather have no title at all and don't enter it unless I have to. Plenty of online forms and companies insist on a title, have you not found that? I do always ask why they want to know, but it's usually a case of 'computer says no' sort of thing.

I am definitely going back to my maiden name, it's important to me.
