is BSE really snowed under?

Or shall I phone them?
I sent back my 'Acknowledgement of Service', on 10th March and have been waiting patiently for my nisi ever since. Nowt back yet, not sure if I should phone or not.....
I'm also hoping that when I do eventually send the nisi back I don't have to wait too much over the six weeks for the absolute. Ours is a straight forward undefended divorce.....does everybody have to wait this long? Just wanna get it done with......Angry

If you google BSE delays there will be an email address that you can send a blank email to and they will email you back with their up to date wait times. I sent first paperwork in in July and was divorced in feb - all straightforward. I know they have put measures in place to speed things up and they lost one of my forms so that added 2 weeks, but it's not the fastest place in the world and in feb they had nisi delays. If you have your number you can always phone them and ask for an update (this was how I found out they'd lost my paperwork).

Definitely ring, we used the EM unit and had the Nisi on the doorstep 2 days after ex sent the Acknowledgement back.

Applied for the absolute on the day we could 6 weeks and a day later, and again had the certificate through 2 days later on a saturday.

Shoe....you're so lucky....EM seem to have their shit together, whereas BSE don't at the moment. I've emailed them today, so I'll see where that gets me Hmm

Shoe, well stbxh did and didn't tell me!! He signed the acknowledgement of the acknowledgment ! So nisi should be the next thing through. This is one of the many reasons I want a divorce, he doesn't keep me in the loop about things! The last letter was addressed to him as he's the Petitioner, but I wish he'd said....and he didn't make a photocopy. I've photocopied everything so far....

Shoe, the hearing for nisi is being held on 2 June, so absolute should be through middle of July. My b'day is 24 July, so that would make the best present ever!! x
