Hi ive been with my boyfriend 4 years he been living with me 1 year im in a bad situation through my own stupidity i live in a council
Flat and receive carers allowance and income support my son also lives with me .my boyfriend is bullying me he never hit me bit is aggressive and feel like im walking on eggshells i asked him to leave before but he blackmailed me and im sure he will tell
The council hes been living with me hes spiteful he also threated to get all his firniture the sofas the bed bedroom furniture etc with which i said ok take them .know i should have told them but i was in 5 thousend debt my dads got dementia ive got no close family to help and he knows that He wouldnt leave before im going to the citizans advice in the morning any help here please ?

So you've been claiming benefits whilst your boyfriend was living with you? Was he claiming benefits himself or working? Don't worry...there will be a way around this.

Right....has he been having letters delivered to your flat? Either way the BEST thing you can do now is to contact Women's Aid. All their advice is completely confidential...they WILL NOT and never would tell the social on you....you can call them and they will tell you what to do.

Im thinking of changing the locks and giving him a week to get his stuff and furniture but he will want to hang around all week making my life a misery

Do it. Change the locks, and pack his stuff yourself and call the non emergency police number to tell them, tell them you're telling them as he has threatened you...is there anywhere you could leave it? At a mutual mate's house or something? If he threatens you...says he will tell the social, just say you have already told the police that he has threatened you and he'd better piss off or you will have him arrested.

He's probably just making a noise about nothing. Don't let him live there any more...he sounds awful.

Im happy for him to get his stuff and come back for whatever furniture he wants the last time i asked him to leave he ripped the internet out the phone started shouting as the internet and phone is in his name but i paid half ,said he wouldnt leave untill the weekend and in his own time when he arranged a van .im not really concerned because if he dors contact the dhss ill tell them he only stayed a couple of nights a week but obviusly its a worry .he is a bully

If the internet is in his name, then surely he does get bills to the house?

The reason I'm asking is because that would link him financially to you you see.

No he certainly does not. He's an arse for threatening to report you. The fact that he has his name on a bill is a bit worrying though....even though it's just the one.

If he DID report you (which he wont because HE would also be in trouble) then they gain access to your bank and bills so they can see if you're linked financially. This bill is one thing which could potentially be proof that he lived there but even then....not really. You could just say he'd done it as a favour because you couldn't afford it.
