Changing name after separation

Hi, I'm recently separated and would like to return to my maiden name, but double barrelled with my married name to keep my connection with DC.

It produces a free Deed Poll certificate.

Yes I did that. No issues at all - accepted by everyone.

Yup, did the same. Technically it's not necessary, you can call yourself whatever you want, but having the bit of paper is extremely useful for banks etc.

I printed off a free one, and that was what I used when I went to the passport office. Everywhere has accepted it, except EE so my mobile phone contract is in my old name??.annoying!
