What is acceptable access?

My ex-husband moved away last November and went from seeing our 2.5 year old daughter from every other weekend with one weeks holiday a year to a weekend every six weeks plus 2 weeks holiday a year (his request).

He has emailed me through dates for next year and has now asked to see her for 3 weeks a year, 2 of those weeks she would travel out to Dubai (7 hour flights plus airport time either side) with her grandparents and the other week in Spain.

I am not comfortable with her being so far away from home and being away for 3 weeks a year....its so disruptive to her routine and I feel that if anything happened then Dubai is a long way to travel, especially as I now have a 4 month old baby.

Am I being unreasonable?

If he took me to court, is it likely that they would grant him the access he wants?

I suspect that the reason he wants our Daughter to go to him is so her grandparents will look after her during the day so he doesn't need to take annual leave.

Tbh I don't think he's being unreasonable and if went to court think he would most likely get this unless there are other factors we don't know. Maybe as she's young currently they might not grant 2 weeks at atime (?) But in time they would so you need to prepare yourself for that

My dd spent 11 days with her dad on holiday around that age and she's pretty much slept in my bed every night since - she's coming up four - that was how much she was unsettled by it. Three weeks away from her primary carer at that age is far too long.
