Child Maintenance Service

Does anyone know how the calculation for child maintenance works when one parent with care is applying through CMS for maintenance and the non resident parent pays a private agreement to a second parent with care for another child?

As far as I am aware the non resident parent will still be calculated at a certain level and the maintenance would be split equally between the children.
