Trying to help daughter

Hi to all I am new to this site I need advice, my daughter has been trying for ages to get a divorce she did it herself. Yesterday she got a letter from the judge refusing her divorce as he said not enough evidence. She printed off the texts and emails and list of witnesses and a statement but he said anyone could have sent them. So she is very down and doesn't know what to do now. The reason for the divorce is unreasonable behaviour due to abuse towards her and the children, she has moved out for safety and he is living in a 3 bed council house.

did your dd ever have to call the police because of his abuse if so they would have a record of this or maybe try posting this in legal you might get more replies

I wonder if she'd be better off petitioning on grounds that could constitute unreasonable behaviour but don't include anything illegal (eg threats to hurt her, etc). Might her ex then be more likely to accept the petetion?

Thanks for getting back to me yes when he hit his son (because he wouldn't make him a cup of tea) my daughter called the police and took photos. The police came spoke to my grandson who told them what happened they didn't want to see the photos and did nothing on checking they didn't make a report. She tried to get the call out details and got nowhere that is how she found out that they made no report. She has spoken to social services who even though when they called to the house to do a spot check there was no food in the house at all and no electric but they said they saw no problem. The school have made a damning report but that has been ignored as well. I am terrified something bad is going to happen as no one is interested, I have no experience of the system so am at a loss as to what else to do to help. It is breaking my heart.
