I'm thinking about using this to keep costs down .
It seems very helpful and easy to use ?

I used them for a very simple, amicable divorce and consent order based on 2 years' separation.

They were OK.

I had to send things back to them because of their errors (kept getting my address wrong and tried to make out it was my fault for not informing them, even though I had email evidence). Communication has been slow - they have a 10 working day turnaround on everything, including (it seems) amendments following their errors - so if you're in a hurry they may not be for you.

You can do a divorce yourself. There is an online form, it costs £410.
This is route I will be going down, however full financial split of marriage is documented in separation agreement & it's amicable.
Is there a reason you need to 'use' anyone?

I found the forum very useful as my ex-husband posted there frequently about his tactics and plans. He couldn't quite work out why I seemed to be always one step ahead of him. Wink

dwinnol that's brilliant that you were able to see your ex posting there!! I'm going to look on it and see if I can spot my stbxh

The forum is useless. I was banned for suggesting someone should look for a better paying job. Apparently there are no jobs in the uk paying more than £13k

Thankyou .
Baby barrister I was thinking just that.
Sort out the actual divorce myself just costing £450 ish court fee, and pay a good solicitor ( I have one recommended ) to sort out the finances and child arrangements ?
Is this expensive ?
It shouldn't be complicated.
The biggest problem is child arrangements as he has only seen them twice in 6 months.
He was a doting father but is now fairly absent and refuses to make regular contact.
