Two year separation

Does anyone check how long you've been separated? If so, how do you prove it? We were still living under the same roof for a couple of months after I said I wanted to separate before I managed to move out. Can't wait to get started!

For my divorce, the clock started ticking from day the solicitor sent a letter to my now XH. We lived in the same house for a few months while it sold. I was advised we should sleep in separate rooms, which we did and not do anything as a couple. We both had active social lives so when one of us had friends over for eg a dinner party, the other went out. We then had witnesses to us being apart under the same roof. Helped that it was amicable but a strange time nonetheless.
