Wedding rings

I know I probably sound absolutely ridiculous but before I left my ex he took from me my wedding ad engagement ring.
I know it's in the past now and I probably should get over it but I want them back! They're mine right?

They are but really you want them back ? Why

astewart · 14/10/2014 10:15

Just because they belong to me, because they were given to me and I want them to give to my daughter when shes old enough I guess.

My three girls don't want them, of the dress or anything to do with the marriage ... I kept the photos but honestly if he's unclassy enough to take the jewerelly then good riddance to bad rubbish

I threw my dress and shredded the photos. My divorce is due this week, maybe its just that, hasnt really bothered me the past year, just this week.

Exh took mine too. Can I get them back?

I sold my engagement ring the week after I left, I chucked my wedding ring at his head, I missed sadly, it landed in a bush somewhereGrin
no regrets

They are yours, as they were a gift. So you can have them back to do what you like with them - melt them down to name a different bit of jewelry, sell them or keep them for children.

Someone who has give a gift has no right to take it back ever - ownership transferred at the point of the gift. To take it back is theft.
