Calls, texts and emails

Ive posted before on behalf of my sister. This time its on behalf of my brother. He is currently going through a separation and his "partner" calls him, emails him and texts him pretty much every hour of every day. These vary from practical issues to general abuse. Ive seen some of these messages and she taunts him and makes quite outlandish accusations. Any practical advice on what he can do to discourage this? He only replies to practical questions.

my husband would not stop, it came in streams, every time he was pestered to pay maintenance, when the money came, the abuse came too. I couldn't get police to take it seriously "it's a civil matter madam", I got an apology from the inspector eventually, all they suggested was change telephone number / email, then if you're still harassed, they'll take action, otherwise the police feel their hands are tied with getting anywhere.

He needs to get a separate phone, cheap payg and give her that number. Same with e-mail, block her from his everyday communication routes so that he can decide when to deal with her correspondence.

Never ever respond to anything that isn't a civil request regarding the children.

Keep any and all abusive messages, they could be needed if things get worse.

I hope this is just an initial issue and things will calm down.
