If i send the papers direct to the courts do i send the fee with it or do they come back to me in case i havent filled the papers in correct. My stbexh is being aggresive and i want it done as quick as poss, anyone know how long it takes and what i need to do.

Send the cheque with it, if its incorrect the court will send it straight back to you informing you of what is wrong and will send your cheque back. If its correct they will send the Petition on to your ex (pretty much straight away if there is no back log) for him to sign and send back an Acknowledgement of Service to say he's received and agrees with it contents. If you are struggling to fill in the Divorce Petition try calling the court at which you will be issuing the Petition and you may be able to get help over the phone, it all depends on whether somebody helpful picks up or not though I'm afraid.

Also does anyone know what i would be entitled to i work 18 to 24 hrs a week, have a childminder for an hr for the school run, have mortage. Would i get any tax credits or help with childcare, during the holidays dd would be going for 7 hrs on the days i work, i work shifts.
