How long till I can apply for Decree Absolute?

Wah-hey! I've received in the post today my Certificate of Entitlement to a decree. It says that the pronouncement of the decree will take place on 11 December.
I've read that I need to wait six weeks before I can apply for the decree absolute, but is that six weeks from now or six weeks from 11 December? I'd rather do it sooner rather than later if I'm allowed! Can't wait to be finally rid of the twat!

6 weeks from the date of the decree nisi. Not sure what your certificate of entitlement is, I never had one of those!

I've just read the application for decree absolute - it is six weeks from 11 December. Boo! I was hoping to get a lovely Xmas present.
I like the advent calendar idea though. Grin

Do the calendar! It's 6 weeks + 1 day though.
