How much for divorce?

I am planning to get a divorce once myself and my husband have been seperated for two years. Has anyone else ever done this and how much did it cost?

How long is a piece of string? Is your H likely to fight it or be apathetic like my Ex is do that it takes 3 letters from a solicitor to get anything (triedDIY failed for same reason).

my ex and i are in agreement about getting a divorce once 2 yrs have passed. If i were to do it now, it would be on grounds of unreasonable behaviour and he would contest.

The divorce isn't much - less than £1k. But the financial order can be somewhat more complicated... Mine will cost around 40k by the time it's over. The total money involved isn't much more than that, but DH refused to leave the family home and now refuses to give me 50%. Now he refuses to talk to me at all except through his solicitors.

We were amicable until the divorce process started!

Apathetic behaviour has so far cost me an additional £1k even though ExH is agreeable to divorce. He has yet to see the financial consent so doesn't though that whilst we have made an agreement it is not just rubber stamped by the court I anticipate that could cost me more.
