Trying to buy out ex and he's being difficult!

I managed to get a decision in principle but are now faltering as they are not going to pay me enough to buy my ex out. We have 2 dd's 4 and 5 and he I threatening that if I don't give him his money on 20th March he will put the house back on the market and sell it from under me which I'm pretty sure he cannot do but I don't qualify for legal aid so it's going to be really really expensive.
Do I call his bluff or try and get a loan? Also he still has keys and he keeps commenting that the house is a mess i fell really uncomfortable that he is gaining access when I'm not here can I change the locks?

Are you on the deeds ? If so he cant sell without your permission as you would need to sign the paperwork.

If he is on the deeds unfortunately you cannot legally deny him access as he owns the property.

He cannot sell without your permission so don't worry. You have the children in the house so you have the right to stay where you are.

I was told that my ex couldn't force the sale of the house as we had dependants and that I could keep the house until I met a new partner. I think you should visit a solicitor in the first instance for advice - usually most offer 1 hour for free. It's in your best interest to protect the home for you and your children.
