Leave him or make him leave

Hi

I am infrequent poster, more a lurker but now in need of help!

My DH and I have been married for 15 years, two kids 14 and 10. We live next door to my parents who I have fallen out with in a big way (a whole different thread but things have come to a head, horrible things have been said and I can't see us ever getting on in the same way again).

As a result I want to move, DH doesn't so the question is do I take the kids and leave him alone in the large country house or will I regret that when we fight about money later on. The alternative is to try to persuade him to leave us, which I don't think is going to be easy. I have this fear of us leading separate lives in our house for the next 15 years, which fills me horror.

Am I being stupid to make a run for it.

Is the problem with your DH or your parents? If you want to get away from your parents then it seems reasonable to want to move house. Asking your DH to leave means you'll be stuck living next to your parents so that doesn't make sense to me... If you live in a large country house it sounds like the ideal place to bring up children so it would be a shame to move them from that environment.
