Vent...I texted STBXH and said, "you gonna take the kids to the fair?" He says, "don't know"... I said, "you don't plan?"
Last year I took them, and texted him saying, you could pick up the kids AT the fair as I already paid for their wrist band...and he could take them around a bit... NOPE... 
(I did mention that in previous text...)
It seems soo many fathers don't go out of their way to do things with their children...???
I envy my sisters relationship with her X... he will go above and beyond for his son... He will even drive 4 hrs to watch a Christmas concert!!
As for my STBXH... can't say I am surprised...but soo disappointed. Even the KIDS say, "dad won't take us, he never takes us any where"...
My dad says I should of let my kids ask him.... I said, they DO.... but there is only so many times they can be turned down... My dad's logic is then my X can explain to his own children why NOT... I said, he doesn't explain. No, is No.
For those of you who have understanding and co-operative X's... I soooooo envy you!!
For those of you who have even worse X's...sigh...nothing we can do I guess..
