How quick is a quicky divorce?

STBEXH are 1 month down the line after deciding to divorce. He's living with a mate and we are trying to sort out our finances and what our routine will be when he has his own place. At the moment things are fairly amicable. Although he is a wanker of course Wink
So providing we can stop things getting nasty, how quick is a quicky divorce? Or is there no such thing?

No such thing. How long is a piece of of string?
Assuming you're all agreed (grounds etc) and assuming you both deal with the steps promptly (ie signing acknowledgement of service form and returning to Court, preparing affidavit in support, applying for DA etc) and no long delays due to Courts being extremely busy/having backlog, then you could potentially get it all done and dusted in 4 or 5 months. The main thing is, to sort out your financial matters. Most lawyers would advise not to apply for Decree Absolute (the second and final decree) until the finances have been sorted.

My friends seperated in July, decided def over about November and where divorced by mid Feb! I'm not sure the timeline of the actual legal process but I thought that was bloody quick!

Thats the point blondie, there is no timeline. It depends on a number of things such has how quickly the parties deal with the various steps and how busy the Court is
