1st Xmas without xh...

I've known soon-to-be xh for 17 years and married for almost 13 of them. Xh is away with his family in the UK & I'm here with the dc. Feels very odd... not that much more work though as h never lifted a finger, but still. Sad for dc, although they seem happy enough. Xmas is supposed to be a family time but we're right in the middle of the messiest divorce imaginable. Visitation rights denied to xh as well as access to the home, until court hearing. Sad.

I didnt want to leave your post unanswered, but nothing constructive to say.

I recognise your name and I am sure we have "spoken" on here before.

I hope your day got better yesterday. When I have had crap Christmas' due to circumstances, I have seen it as a step towards the new year and I always have a notion that new year = new beginnings and being determined to move on, from whatever has made this one bad, IYSWIM!

Enjoy the time with your DC and be selfish and pamper yourself, even if that is just sitting down with a box of choccies.

Um-MN (((hugs)))) coming your way! Smile

It's my first Christmas without my H too, and our DS1's first Christmas. Another messy divorce here too. It is sad. I'm trying really hard to look forwards to next year instead of dwelling on what should have been - but I don't often manage. Just wanted to say you're not alone really!

It was a lot better than I imagined... we were all relaxed! No h = no tension, anger and moodiness. Grin
