UK being self-sufficient with insulin production

Hi all, hopefully this is allowed, I'm sharing a petition I came across calling for the government to look at the supply chain for insulin and look into UK production.

Having visited a novonordisk insulin manufacturing facility in Denmark (it’s immense). I would doubt that this would be a financially beneficial proposal for them. They have a facility in France already. Eli Lilly have a facility in Ireland.

I remember the department of heath yelling about this around Brexit that gaff all planning had been done around supply chain planning for essential medications. Seems like 10 years post Brexit we still haven't sorted it out.
