Which one is the best lifestyle diet change, weight watchers or slimming world. I am diabetic type two and obese in weight and am trying to get out of a sedentary lifestyle.

There isn't a vast amount of difference. They both work by having a wide range of free foods (i.e. needn't be weighed/measured) and then everything else is allocated points. SW has some of its food as 'healthy extras' and some as 'individual picks'; WW allocates everything not a free food a 'points' value. When you join you will agree your daily allowance of points with a consultant.

I would look at their web sites and see which one appeals to you more. Also if you are planning to join an in-person group, which is more convenient for you (you can do either fully online).

As you are diabetic you should check with your GP. Some GPs will 'prescribe' you a 12 week weight management programme free of charge.

I don’t think either of them are tbh. You can be so flexible with them that healthy eating isn’t always the result. Can you access a dietician though your GP, it’s the first referral I had for diabetes.

I agree with @jeffsaward that you need to read the small print not the headline with 'free food'. Unlimited means it doesn't have to be measured or counted, not that it's necessarily OK to eat endless amounts of it when it comes to things like pasta.
