Sorry, long, but every time I go to the GP all they seem to want to do is give me another drug and I just don’t feel I’m being listened to. I’m 62, a bit overweight with all that the menopause brings to the table as well and work full time. Previously more active with a lot of walking but not so much now.
I had pancreatitis in 2020 so the GP won’t prescribe Mounjaro to help me manage my weight and sugar.
I’ve been on Dapaglifozin 10mg for almost a year, the GP describing it as a medication that causes you to pee out the sugar.
But - I have noticed increasingly crepey appearance on my skin, and flare ups of knee pain too. I googled (!) and it does say that the drug can cause dehydration with joint pain being a side effect.
I’m thinking of just stopping it and trying something more natural to help with the blood sugar.
I’d love if anyone else could comment on their experience on this drug?
