Diabetic Retinopathy

I have had type 2 diabetes for 25 years.

Last year after my annual diabetic eye screening I was informed by the follow up letter that i had diabetic retinopathy Stage 1.

This year I have had the follow up letter and in large letters, the heading says NO SIGNS OF DIABETIC RETINOPATHY.

I'm rather confused as i didn't think it could come and go . Has anyone experienced similar results?

Yes I’ve gone from clear tests, to confirmed retinopathy, back to clear and now, this year I’ve got it again. My blood sugar control has been terrible this year so I wasn’t surprised.
