Blood tests

Hi I have had cancer last year and had some preventative chemo after. I had steroids too. Which I’m at a higher risk with diabetes now.
I have been so thirsty the past few weeks, no appetite but that could be down to stress with scans. Had a fasting blood test last week. Had a phone call to arrange another fasting test and a kidney function test. Is this normal? Why two blood tests, have they saw something in my first test, I need another one? Thank you all

More likely the sample spoilt and they realised your medication may affect kidney function too.

Two tests are needed to confirm a diagnosis of diabetes, so yes they could be rechecking before the diagnosis. Do you not have results in the NHS app?

No I’m in Scotland we don’t have that. I don’t think

ask for a printout of results from the GP if you don’t have an app to view them in
