Diabetic eye screening

Does anyone know what other eye conditions a diabetic screening can detect? I received a letter today after my screening to say that the photographs showed retinopathy but showed another eye condition that needs reviewing.

It may be best to wait and see what further tests actually show, rather than reading the possibilities and getting stressed about something you may not even have, but some info here.

What does the letter say op, and how quickly and where do they want to see you you?

@Treelesschristmas the letter stated that the photographs showed no retinopathy but showed another eye condition that needs reviewing. It said that I have been referred to an eye specialist at the hospital and will receive an appointment and to not cancel the appointment.

I know it's hard not to worry OP, but whatever it is (and maybe it's nothing) you've been referred quickly so they are taking action and if you've not noticed any symptoms then it must be very early days.
