Could this be diabetes? TW MMC

I will background this by saying I had a MMC at 18 weeks on 17th June. Which required surgery for retained products.

I have been trying to work out why, as most would, scan was clear and low risk for downs etc.

Symptoms are:
Swollen hands and feet
Numb hands and feet.
Hives all over, get worse at night, I have clawed myself to bits. Prescription anti histamine does nothing.
Reduced congative function ( forgetful, getting words muddled, thinking I've said something and I havent)
Fatigue, I am taking iron due to the blood loss of MMC
Blood sugar was 8.4 first thing this morning, fasting
2 hours after food blood sugar was 7.8

Paternal history of diabeties, diagnosed 6 weeks before death (alcholic)

I've suggested to my GP, midwife and emergency responder that I feel I may have diabeties and no one acknowledges me.

Anyone, help, please?

Could you just request a blood test in writing from the GP? That was it’s on record.
At the very least you should have thyroid, ferritin (again) & B12 checked due to the fatigue and memory issues, and ask for HBA1C to be added too.

I’m sorry for your loss Flowers

Thanks.

I already have B12 injections for pernicious (sp?) Anemia.
Hospital have given iron tablets due to excessive blood loss, narrowly avoided transfusion.

I should mention I am still feeling sick, which I thought was pregnancy related.

I have lost 1.5 stone since the hives started.
