Sweet treats

I visit an elderly man who has type 2 diabetes. He loves cakes, biscuits, sweets and chocolate. No surprise then that his blood sugar is high and having adverse health effects. Cutting out sugary treats completely isn't going to happen. Any recommendations for sweet treats that are low sugar (not dark chocolate which he doesn't like). Thanks

Go online and there are sweet shops that do sugar free sweets. Bought some for my late mum in law and there was so much choice and not badly priced. Sorry, can't remember the shops name.
Holland and Barrets used to.do sugar free chocolate chip cookies which she loved and jam and marmalades.
Asda well sugar free choc coated digestive too sorry, again can't remember what the make is and I think I used to buy her low sugar strawberry jam from there too. She really liked that and said it had large pieces of strawberry in which reminded her of childhood jam.
Aldi sell sugar free sweets in little boxes usually at the checkouts too.
hope that helps

Go easy on anything sugar free - can have a laxative effect if you eat more than a small amount.

Aldi do small boxes of sugar free boiled sweets by the tills - think strawberries & cream and lemon drops.
