Is 39 a good result for a type 2 on insulin and metformin?

It’s a very good level in theory, but in practice there’s a small possibility, as you are on insulin, that it might be too tight and you are possibly having some/too many hypos.

Thanks finally spoke to my diabetic nurse and going to reduce insulin.

Back story

Went to GP with what i thought was an UTI in April. Turned out my blood sugar was 26! was sent straight to hospital to be rehydrated and put straight on insulin and metformin and 3 antibiotics. I was on 18units breakfast and 14units dinner of novomix 30 when i left hospital and 500g prolonged release metformin.
Been on 14 and 10 for a while and now coming down to 12 and 8 units.
