Novorapid shortage?

I've been waiting over a week for Novorapid from Boots in SW London and today the pharmacist said there's a shortage and they don't know when they'll get any! Has anyone else experienced this? Normally get my insulin through Pharmacy2U but due to mix up got a code and went to Boots. I'm down to last vial. As Boots part filled my prescription I can't go to another pharmacy. I've requested next batch from Pharmacy2U but if there's a shortage I'll need to get my GP to give me a prescription for something similar to replace it.

Yes, it's been widely reported. I'd get on your GP promptly - I'd say humalog is the closest bur they will know you best.

I've not heard this OP. I'm on apidra. A few years ago there was a shortage. Except it wasn't the actual insulin that was causing the shortage, but the pens it was put into. I was on vials for my pump so it didn't effect me.

Could you check if this is an option? To change the form it's delivered in? If you're on a pen, do you have pre-filled or cartridges for example.

Thanks for the replies. I use a refillable pen, so get the packs of cartridges. I just googled it as hadn't heard of a shortage through my usual newsfeeds and it says that supplies have resumed. Maybe it will be back in stock this week.
I first went to Boots over a week ago and at that time they just said they didn't have any in stock and to come back in a couple days. I did but no pharmacist on duty (unexpectedly), and again a couple days later (again no pharmacist - Boots really needs to get it together it's the biggest pharmacy in that part of London). It was only today that she said there was a shortage.

Ah, that's hopeful - I've heard from others they've been told weeks, amd it's affecting both cartridges and prefilled pens. Frustrating.
