I started injecting with Saxenda (originally developed as a diabetic treatment) for weight loss, and though the weight loss has tailed off, have continued to self fund it because it helps my blood sugars so much. Metformin barely budged them, plus it destroyed my digestion, even the slow-release type.
It costs about £100 per month (I don't take the higher dose) which is unwelcome, but is the price of a daily take-away coffee I suppose.
Does anyone else use this or Victoza, which is the same thing?
