Just after a hand hold really. My youngest (year 2 at school) has recently been more thirsty, urinating more and is more tired than usual.

Called this morning for an urgent appointment after an e-consult told me to do so and was told I'd have a phone call today.

Feeling very worried it may be diabetes after seeing these symptoms on a Facebook post talking about the 4 Ts ConfusedSad

Hoping for your both that little one hasn't joined the club- if they have though- it's not all bad. It's a lot but it's doable.

All they asked for was a urine sample which I dropped off yesterday afternoon. I was expecting a bloody test tbh because her urine is so dilute from all she's drank, surely it won't show anything Confused

Have you heard back? My GP tested my ketones and blood there and then when I was diagnosed as an adult.

Not wanting to scare you, but please take her to out of hours and get ketones checked if you've got heard back.

If the 4Ts are there deterioration can be quite fast

No, never heard back yet. My husband has insisted on a face to face appointment tomorrow when I'm at work so hoping to have more answers then

Oh good. He should insist on getting ketones checked. It's literally a dipstick on a urine sample. Can be done there and then.

Good luck
