My friend has T2 and doesn't look after herself re her diet. She is very overweight. Can anyone recommend a meal plan she can follow?

I have trawled the internet and there is lots of advice, but I don't really understand itConfused

Would appreciate a diet/meal plan website where I can print off stuff for her to work from.

Many thanks in advanceSmile

Low carb diets is what you need to look for.

Yup, low carb is the way to go. DietDoctor has some great recipes. Www.diabetes.co.uk is a great site for advice on the forums.

Dietdoctor.com does meal plans; you can get a 1 month free trial, it's a few £/month after that.

It's a low carb approach which is a whole different way of eating, and means cutting out bread/potatoes and potato products/pasta/cakes/biscuits/rice completely. Involves more food prep, not just mindless snacking, so she would have to be very motivated.
