Glucose blood test

I've got to have my Glucose blood test this week and I'm unsure what I need to do to prepare for it! Can anyone help?! I thought I fast for 10 hours before, then drink the Rapilose solution an hour and a half before then have the blood test. But reading the instructions on the packet is stated otherwise! Confused .com!! Please help!!!

Why do you need a glucose tolerance test? It’s not recommended practice any more. A Hba1c is more accurate
