Hi

I've recently gone back on an insulin pump after a 2 year break.

The skin under the infusion set tape is so itchy when they've been removed. I wear them for 2 days as they get so sore. The skin looks so dry and red.

For anyone have any tips on site care?

I use a barrier spray and an adhesive remover but any sort of lotions or positions for my poor skin?

Thanks Smile

I have this. On my pump a little bit. On my libre even worse. I've tried loads of things, so far nothing has worked!

Sorry I can't be more helpful. I can only offer sympathy! Thanks

I get this frequently with my pump too. I haven't been able to resolve it but I find sudocream helps with the itching and soreness.

Some brand of pump suppliers offer different types of adhesive on their cannula's
Can you ask your diabetes team if they can order a different one. Sometimes it's just trying different ones until you find one that doesn't cause problems.
Unfortunately libre only offer one adhesive at the moment but useful feedback for Abbott if you've got the time or inclination to report it to them.
