Fecking basal testing

I'm doing an evening basal test (I'm on an insulin pump) and am fasting for 12 hours until 11pm and am fecking starving! Can't wait to have a fry up when it's over! In the next week I've got 6 basal tests to do to take back to my DSN. I detest fasting, but it's a necessary evil to keep my pump funding. Any fasting survival tips welcome Cake

I have never done 12 hrs of testing in a row, I was told to do blocks of 4, with a carb free meal /no bolus meal beforehand think scrambled eggs, sf jelly. I have also not been told I have to basal test (am also on a pump) but do it when things go a bit squiffy although I have cgm which helps to determine patterns

12 hours in a row (unless overnight) is a bit rough. @kizziebel the advice about having scrambled eggs etc is quite outdated as the protein can cause a rise (especially in the absence of carbs)
