Contour Next strips being discontinued

I've just had a letter from my GP to tell me my usual Contour Next test strips are being discontinued.

I use Contour Next because the machine bluetooths the results directly to my pump. Anyone know if any other machine does the same?

Incidentally, the strips they want me to use cost £10 a box rather than £26 a box...sure that's coincidence though :o

Well after 2 hours of faffing about, I finally spoke to the manufacturer and the specialist nurse at the GP surgery.

Letter was bollocks, they're not withdrawing the strips and they're changing my prescription back to the Contour Next strips. Letter was entirely a money saving exercise, presented as a fait accompli.

Really not happy about it - I don't imagine most people will argue the toss.
