Went for my diabetic (Type 2 ) check up today, having been diagnosed two years ago with the HC thingummy at 54, last time it was down to 48, today 42! The Metformin seems to have worked along with losing two kilos and cutting well back on the booze.
Nurse was pleased, I was pleased, DH pleased, cat indifferent.

But you still have diabetes type 2. Congratulations same thing happened to me

TrickyD · 22/02/2018 20:17

Thanks, all of you.

Nina, when it happened to you, did it stay low and for how long?

Yes it's stayed low for 3 years so far but I have kept my weight down although still very overweight plus I am on a low carb diet and go to the gym 2-3 times a week. I have never taken metformin or any other diabetic meds

I think my weight loss must have helped a fair bit though exercise is difficult as I did something to my hip a month or two ago, which makes even walking painful after half a mile or so, and climbing stairs very, very difficult. I am awaiting a call on Friday from the physio people, who assess by phone Hmm. Hoping for the best!
