Why have I never seen this board before??

Sorry!!! I am feeling rather overwhelmed with it all and wish I'd found this board a month ago!!

I guess technically this should go in the pregnancy section but I tried and had no real response.

I was diagnosed at 29w. Am now 35w and it's progressed quite quickly.

I'm on 1000mg of Metformin and insulin before breakfast.

Fasting readings and after lunch readings are now high.

Have a phone appointment today and expect to be told to have insulin before lunch is as well?

Sorry I'm just rambling.

Ah bless you, what a stress. Hopefully in the next week or two it will get easier, as readings often drop again towards the end.

This board is v quiet but you could try the Facebook gestational diabetes page and also the Reddit gestational diabetes page - lots more traffic there.

Good luck!

GD is horrible! I was suffering this time last year. They could offer to induce you from 37 weeks if your levels aren't well controlled so hopefully won't be too much longer. Mine were all over the place from 35-36 weeks so they brought my planned section forward to 38 weeks. You're nearly there x
