Has anyone been told they had type 2 diabetes mainly due to insulin resistance but actually turned out to be PCOS instead?

My daughter has PCOS and has been told that women with PCOS are at increased risk of Type 2. She has an annual blood test for diabetes; fortunately she's fine so far.
