Acupuncture for type 2 diabetes?

Hi anyone tried acupuncture for type 2 diabetes? I'm keen to hear how anyone got on, if it helped or not. I'm in north London if anyone has any recommendations. TIA

I don't believe there is any evidence to demonstrate that acupuncture is effective for diabetes, although it may be helpful for some of the symptoms of diabetes such as painful peripheral neuropathy.
You should be aware of the danger of introducing infection through the needles.
As a medical acupuncturist, I wouldn't needle for diabetes.
