Any type 2 sufferers on insulin?

I used insulin when I had gestational diabetes. Have been on metformin since being diagnosed with type 2. My hbac1 was too high - I'm being given another test in a few weeks and if its no better I'll be put on insulin.

Anyone on it! Is there any chance if getting off it with more weight loss? (I've moist 10kg since Jan) or does it just get worse over time?

Yeah I've had type 2 for 12 years and switched to insulin when I was pregnant. I don't actually mind as it's easier to control my bs on insulin. I'm currently trying to lose weight, so Willet you know if it makes a difference(although I'm not joldingmtbreath...)

DH was diagnosed aged 30 and put straight onto insulin. Over the next two years he lost 6 stone and now controls his diabetes with tablets.
