Can you kick me up the arse?

Last year I had some routine bloods done, came back with 'pre-diabetes'. Saw GP, discussed weight loss (I'm v overweight) and reducing sugar. I left with a script for Orlistat which I never took to chemist as I was too worried about the side effects, and I've done precisely nothing about the pre-diabetes.

I don't know why. I know I should take all action necessary but last night, for example, I ate a massive bag of Minstrels and then conked out asleep on the sofa. Happens all the time.

I know what I need to do. But I think I'm too scared to admit it.

Can you give me a boot up the arse? TIA

No boot here, but lots of luck to you. Hope 2015 is a year of change for you. It's not easy on your own though (one-off advice from a GP doesn't add up to a support network) so join up with some other people doing the right stuff, whether it's weight watchers, a Zumba class, healthy cooking course or whatever, and see how far you can get in a year. You are capable of surprising yourself. Good luck
