I wondered if anyone had any experience of this?

My dh has been diabetic for a number of years now but over the last month he has had some nasty blisters on his feet from new shoes. They have taken ages to heal and today I noticed a new one under the foot and one on his shin that has appeared from nowhere. Sad

I have dressed the wounds with clean dressings but I am really worried and dh is doing his very good head in the sand act. I'm not sure how if is going Ty manage next week when I'd goes back to work and has to wear shoes all day. At the moment even wearing shoes for an hour produces a new blister.

All diabetics should be regularly reviewed by a chiropodist. Very important for diabetics' feet to be kept in good shape. GP can do the referral.

I was diagnosed yesterday (!!) and I was told that any cut or bruise on the foot meant an urgent visit to GP to demand antibiotics.
