I am so glad this topic has appeared here. I'm currently being investigated for diabetes, had a fasting blood sugar done yesterday. Over past 24 hours, to add to exhaustion and dizziness, I've developed a numb/tingling tip of tongue and very fronts of lips. This sound at all familiar to anyone? Already called 111 and they're at a loss!

Actually I can get this when my blood sugars are unstable.

Thank you for replies, turns out it was a virus that has culminated in Bell's Palsey. Apparently my fasting blood sugar was fine, but a bit worried by mentions in articles that diabetics are more prone to Bell's, so may keep on at gp if I continue to feel rubbish one this has gone.
