Tips for helping Mum with toothbrushing when she has mild dementia

My mum has mild dementia, lives independently with daily visits from a nurse. Her oral hygeine is poor, it seems she isn't brushing thoroughly. Does anyone have and experience or recommendations? Would an electric toothbrush help? Sonic or rotating? She has a strong gag reflex, so I need to take that into account. Thank you😌

The Alzheimer’s society has suggestions and maybe ask the nurse who comes or your mum’s dentist?
